The challenge
Presidential election results are consolidated at the Ministry of Territorial Administration, based on reporting from polling stations across Mali’s 49 districts and consular constituencies. A critical process where any delay or opacity can undermine trust in the vote.
Our approach
In partnership with the ministry, we built an application that computes overall results in real time. It shows the percentage of results already reported and displays them visually on a map of Mali, for clear, immediate monitoring.
The results
A first in Mali, and a success: beyond speeding up consolidation, the application strengthened stakeholder trust in the electoral process and helped identify concrete areas for improvement for future elections.
